Captain landed in the shelter as a stray so not much information is known about him.

He is a hound mix who weighs 35 pounds. Captain is estimated to be about 12 years old He is described as a distinguished gentleman enjoying his golden years, and he wears them well. With a soft, soulful gaze and a smile that can brighten even the toughest day, he has a quiet charm that’s impossible to resist.

Having already lived through his energetic puppy days, Captain is now all about the simple pleasures—gentle companionship, cozy naps, and being close to the people he loves. He has a sweet, easygoing nature that makes him a wonderful addition to a calm and caring home. Captain has gone up to play group at the shelter. It seems he would be happiest as an only dog or perhaps sharing his new home with a mature, mellow dog buddy who will not push him to play.

Captain would love nothing more than to be part of your everyday life—whether that’s relaxing by your side, joining you for slow strolls, or just keeping you company as you go about your routine. He’s not asking for much, just a warm place to call home and a family to share his heart with.

Captain is posted for the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society located in Wenatchee, WA. For more information, please visit the shelter website at: https://www.wenatcheehumane.org/adoption
