Hi! My name is Chloe. I’m in need of a new home as fast as you can say “rat terrier”! Yes, I’m a 12 year old rat terrier who weighs 15 pounds. I used to have a big lab dog buddy but he passed away. Since then it’s just been me and my mom. Mom can’t keep me anymore and she’s worried she won’t find a good home for me. If you can’t adopt me, maybe you know someone who can?

I am a good girl. My mom will tell you that I have great manners. I am a true little lady which is why my mom calls me “Little Lady” as my nickname! While I am very well behaved that doesn’t mean I won’t chase a bunny in the yard if I see one. I should not have a home with cats and I would rather not live with kids under 10 years old.

If you are looking for a loyal and loving companion to spend time with, I am your gal! I am alert and attentive. Don’t you worry, you won’t ever feel lonely with me around! I am gentle and cuddly. I must have a blanket to burrow in to go to sleep. Once I settle into my new home, I’m sure I will be OK to be left alone. I’m not much of a barker. I can manage a few hours before I need a potty break and when I need to do my business, I’ll let you know I need to go outside.

Getting outside to enjoy nice weather is fun. I need a home with a fenced yard to go into. I don’t dig or chew up things, I just like watching the birds outside and letting the sun shine on me. I like playing with my toys. I am very good on leash and know some basic commands. I can manage the stairs just fine at this time.
