10 year old Chloe is a 20 pound long hair dachshund. She’s a little on the “plump” size for her frame so a home with someone who can help her with gradual weight loss would be helpful. It’s always best if a dachshund does not carry extra weight!

Chloe’s owner passed away after a long illness. She had been cherished since puppyhood. She was passed around a bit as friends and family tried to keep her out of the shelter after the passing of her person. Thankfully Furbaby Rescue was able to take her into one of their foster homes until an adopter could be found.

Chloe is sweet, gentle, and loves to snuggle and may like space near you in bed at night.  She is delightful and would do well with someone who is home during the day. While she is used to living with a senior she would do just as well with someone younger. At only 10 years old, she’s a young senior and could be around for many years!

She had some kind of “event” many years ago and was put on medication to prevent seizures.  She hasn’t had any such events since that time but is still on that medication. Chloe has been fully vetted since coming into the care of Furbaby Rescue.

Chloe had been house trained but due to being in limbo for awhile she is relearning some house manners. She has quickly caught on to the dog door but she will need monitoring while she adjusts to her new home.  She is doing great with the other dogs in her foster home.

Chloe is fostered in Olympia, WA. for more information about Chloe and adopting her email: psbarks@gmail.com
