“Hello my name is Clancy. I’m a golden retriever who is not quite 13 years old. I’m a big guy at 95 pounds. I can still do stairs but if I ever get to a point where I cannot, I’ll need help so I need a new person who will be strong enough to help me do that. But I’m hoping to be in good shape for a long time to come-I’m an optimist! I am a very good boy on leash and I really hope my new people will let me show them how good I am for walks. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to swim! Heck, I get excited just looking at water! There are a couple small dogs I’ve lived with and I’ve also lived with cats. True to my breed, I like everyone. I’ve been around kids and done very well with them. Because I’m older, I would appreciate a home with kids who are old enough to know and learn not to pull or sit on me as I do have some arthritis and I can’t hear well. But I’m still playful. I’ve just relaxed and calmed down as I’ve aged. I have been living mostly in a garage right now but I’m hoping in my new house, I’ll get to be inside with the people more often. I’m not a barky dog and I will be good while you go off and do your business. When you return, I’ll greet you with a smile and waggin tail. I’m hoping to find a new home very soon. I still have so much love to offer!”
