Loves her new family and pack!

Dakota made her way to her Old Dog Haven foster home after a kind and compassionate person found her neglected and abandoned in a neighbor’s yard. They took her in, cared for her, and helped nurse her back to health. Once Dakota was stable, they realized she would need ongoing veterinary care to manage her medical needs, so they reached out to Old Dog Haven for help.
Dakota recently joined her new family and has fit right into her new pack. Her foster mom tells us she is a very sweet girl who loves to play with her new best friend, Nutty, enjoys going for walks around their property and likes to bark and stare at the resident pot belly pigs. She is very talkative, as most huskies are, and likes to howl and “woo-woo” when she is happy or needs to express herself! She is a very happy dog and loves soaking up all the attention she is getting in her new home. She is already very bonded to her new family, and loves to sit right next to her mom and sleep next to her bed.
Dakota l is scheduled for her vet intake exam next week and will receive treatment for a possible diabetes diagnosis and some incontinence issues. Dakota’s lifelong medical care is paid for thanks to our generous donors and we are so thankful to everyone who helps us make a difference to unadoptable senior dogs like Dakota!
