In November, Faye, a golden retriever, found herself in a shelter after her owner passed away and it was clear that she had been neglected for quite some time. She was emaciated and suffered from a flea infestation and severe skin infections.  An urgent plea went out to help find Faye a final refuge foster home and soon we found a brand new foster family willing to open their hearts and their home to this senior dog in need.

Her foster mom shares an update on how Faye is doing now.

“Her progress has been excellent- Faye is gaining weight, her skin infections are clearing and she is regrowing her coat. She will have a dental in the near future. Faye has the most impressive personality despite her hardships- friendly with everyone she encounters, loves to snuggle, just wants to love and be loved.”

Faye’s transformation is incredible and we thank her dedicated foster home for loving and caring for this beautiful girl. We are also so grateful to our supporters who have given Faye the opportunity to be part of a family for the rest of her ‘golden’ years!

Update: After several wonderful months, Faye’s health failed her and we had to say goodbye.  She was a very special girl and will always be remembered.
