Doc
Sweet and gentle
Please note: The dogs in ODH's Final Refuge care are not adoptable due to medical reasons and all are in permanent homes. Your sponsorship supports the veterinary expenses for these dogs - and we thank you!
Doc was found as a stray in late November 2022 so we don’t know any of his history. He is estimated to be around 13 years old, is fairly blind, with limited hearing, and a heart murmur.
Now that he is settled into his ODH forever home, he is feeling safe and loved and is showing his wonderful personality! Doc is mellow and adaptable but if he decides he would like to do something, this old man is a dog on a mission!
He likes short walks and time in the yard so he can explore the world through smell. He dislikes peas and will find them in his wet food and eat everything but them, leaving them behind in his bowl.
When napping, Doc covers his nose with one paw. This gentle old man is a sweet and resilient soul, and very thankful to ODH for getting him out of the shelter.
