At home and very loved

Gaby, a 13-year-old Beagle, found herself without a family after both of her owners passed away in close succession. Neighbors stepped in to provide daily care, but no one could take her in permanently.
A close family friend reached out to Old Dog Haven, and a forever foster home was found for Gaby. She arrived excited, hungry (as Beagles always are!), and ready to explore her new neighborhood with that keen Beagle nose. Though she had been receiving regular vet visits and medication for heart disease, Old Dog Haven arranged for a full check-up at their veterinary clinic and a consultation with a cardiologist. It was discovered that Gaby is in the early stages of congestive heart failure. She is now on five different kinds of heart medications every day and is feeling much better.
She loves her daily walks with her new brothers, Rigatoni and Barley. She’s even started to wrestle with Rigatoni (who is over the moon about it!), while Barley happily plays referee. All three love to bark and howl at delivery drivers, a spectacle that fills their new family’s hearts with joy. Gaby has settled in well with her new pack, and the family is profoundly thankful to Old Dog Haven for stepping up to ensure a happy, safe future for her.
