Gianna is an older dog who ended up in a shelter when she lost her family. She had a heart murmur, terrible teeth, some vision loss and had flea dermatitis, resulting in lesions and hair loss. Being in a shelter was hard on her, and she jumped and wiggled with joy when she was “sprung.”

Coming to a new forever home was an adventure she approached with enthusiasm. The second she entered the house she was home. Her foster family, including 3 other dogs, were instantly her best friends, and she never looked back.
Gianna had a genetic test, and turned out to be roughly half Papillon, half poodle.  Both extremely intelligent breeds, it’s no surprise that Gia is whip-smart and a little mischievous. Her foster mom says she always has to be 2 steps ahead of her.

Gianna can jump anything, explores everything, loves all people and dogs, and lives life to the fullest. Extremely alert, she is always watching, always learning, outgoing, sweet, calm and brave. Her greatest pleasures are walks, car rides, tummy rubs, food, her doggy siblings and snuggling with Mom.

Her new family is so grateful to ODH for allowing Gianna to share their life.
