Hercules
Gentle giant
This magnificent boy is Hercules. Hercules is a 12-year-old giant breed mix; his owner is unsure of his exact weight, but we are told he weighs about 100 pounds.
Hercules has lived his life with the same family. During that time he has lived with another dog, a puppy, and he did not appreciate that energy. Hercules would be happiest continuing to be an only dog, but if one has an old, mellow dog like himself, he could be fine. Hercules should not have a home with cats, as when he spots a cat outside, he’d like to chase it. This gentle giant is good with kind, respectful children.
During the day, Hercules can stay home alone without issue. We are told he can still manage quite a while between potty breaks. Hercules will hang out on the couch or on his person’s bed. He will bark if he hears someone outside.
Hercules must find an adoptive home with someone who can take him to the vet, as it has been a few years since he last had a check-up. Described as being laid back and not needing much exercise, he does still pull on the leash. This means his adopter needs to be able to manage his strength and size.
Of course, Hercules should be given time to adapt to a new home, a new schedule, and a new life. Hercules is very bonded to his person; one will need to show him kindness and compassion with his life-changing move. He has been a very loyal, devoted dog. The hope is that Hercules can find love again and very, very soon.
