IPO (sweetheart in Hawaiian)

IPO is a 12 year old terrier/chihuahua  female. She has quite a few lipomas throughout her tiny 25 pound frame along with a few bad teeth and dealing with Pulmonary Bullae(small air bubbles in the lungs). We can’t fix or clean her teeth due to her pulmonary issues. So she is on expensive soft can dog food-she is a real picky eater-has three to four different kinds of can food per each meal(a few spoonfuls from each can). Have to switch out the flavors every few weeks as she gets bored eating the same thing. I guess I would too!

She still loves her twice a day slow walks in the park-but doesn’t like the rain much-she just struts along enjoying the scenery.
A great watchdog as she barks when cars or strangers walk by the house but doesn’t bark while walking.

IPO enjoys resting in the sunlight whenever the sun shines and enjoys being next  to our Golden. Most of the day we can find her sleeping on the couch or bed and she loves watching TV, especially watching the  “Americas Funniest Videos” tv show when they have the dog video segments-her eyes just light up seeing those other doggies on TV!

Update: Ipo’s loving foster family had to say goodbye today.  She developed kidney disease last month which finally overcame her.  They took very good care of her while she was here and were very attached to her.  Her family will miss her deeply.
