Ivy and Sucia are lifelong friends in need of an adoptive home. 10 year old Ivy weighs about 80 pounds, she is said to be a lab/ridgeback mix. Sucia is 12 year old, she is a mixed breed (make your best guess!) who weighs about 55 pounds.

This pair have been great dogs for a family! They love gentle children. Ivy has arthritis so it would be best if she didn’t have children climb upon her. The girls have not lived with cats. We are told they are “sometimes” social with new dogs they meet. This means if you have a dog and would consider adopting this pair, proper introductions should be made.

While they have not had regular exercise, we know it’s best for a dog to continue moving. Regular walks or time in a fenced yard could be enjoyable for Sucia and Ivy. Both girls pull on leash so one would more than likely need a walking buddy to help walk them. Time to learn leash skills and perhaps a no pull harness could make daily walks fun!

Ivy and Sucia are accustomed to life indoors with their humans. We are told they can manage quite a while between potty breaks. They will bark to let you know someone has arrived at your home. With each other for company, they are good to stay alone when their humans have to leave the house. Of course we always recommend easing into this, especially with dogs who have had the same home all of their lives.

One can look at their expressions and see loyalty and devotion! With time to adjust to a new life and new home, we believe Ivy and Sucia will make great new family members.

Sucia and Ivy are located in Seattle, WA. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org
