Waylon

Waylon is an easy-going 9 year old neutered Red Coon Hound mix. His tripod status doesn’t slow him down and he’s eager to greet everyone he meets. He was surrendered through no fault of his own as his owner had a health emergency and could no longer care for him.  Waylon is 90 pounds of love but should lose a bit of weight to ease the pressure on his joints.

Waylon is relaxed around other dogs but prefers low energy pups, and he has successfully lived with a cat. Waylon is house trained and would be happiest in a home with enough space to move around freely and few stairs. He likes short walks, and his friends at the shelter are working on his leash skills.  Potential adopters who have experience with hound-type dogs or who are willing to learn are a plus.

Waylon can’t wait to meet his forever people. His adorable smile and loving energy will win over many hearts.
