Jack

You don’t see the phrase “make sure you have your running shoes ready” in a bio for a senior dog, but Jack is definitely the exception!

Jack is an 11-year old pug mix (his rescuers think pug, chihuahua, and probably jack russell terrier) with the spirit of a much younger dog. He is also proof you can teach an old dog new tricks! Jack is very playful and loves tug of war matches and determined games of fetch.

Jack is extremely smart and learns commands and cues quickly and he is very eager to please. He absolutely loves long walks around the neighborhood and would love to be your exploring or hiking buddy. He is very well-behaved on leash and in social situations.

At home, Jack is most content staying close and being part of whatever you are doing. He wants you to feel his love at all times. Jack is not afraid to tell you what he wants. When he needs something, whether a trip outside to use the bathroom or a bit of play, he lets out a soft, hushed bark. Jack lives peacefully with another canine companion. He seems to prefer dogs his size and is a little fearful of large dogs.
