Not quite 10 year old Kenji is a black lab mix looking for a new home to devote himself to for the rest of his days. Kenji is guessed to be about 55 pounds. His person has not been able to afford recent vetting so his adopter will need to be ready to get him in to a vet for a check up and vaccines.

Kenji has lived with other dogs and cats. He is said to be cautious when meeting new dogs and that he will keep his distance from them. It sounds like a home with a calm, accepting dog would suit Kenji just fine. Kenji has not been observed around children.

This handsome dude is described as being “low maintenance” as long as he gets his exercise. Daily walks would make Kenji the happiest. Kenji is good on leash, he has had some training and will heel when told.

Kenji does fine staying home alone during a work day, managing quite a bit before he needs a potty break. While this is the case now, consider how long you would like to have to “hold it”! He will alert you when someone is at the door but will listen to his person when he is told to be quiet. Kenji sure sounds like a terrific dog, doesn’t he?

Not only is Kenji well behaved, he is a very loving dog who makes a great companion. Someone will be so fortunate to welcome Kenji into their home. Kenji is in need of an adoptive home soon.

Kenji is posted for his owner in Port Townsend, WA. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
