Dear Lilly Rose came to us under sad situation. The prior owner had aging issues that affected Lilly’s care and this poor girl ended up everyday in only a crate with very one brief time out. Thank goodness Old Dog Haven saved this lovely Bichon-Shih Tzu mix for a different outcome.
We wondered how she would act after leaving her ‘normal’. As soon as Lilly came through our gate, this girl never looked back. She examined the big yard, the house with no crates, and the dogs who were out to greet her. It took several baths to wash all the grime but she is so pretty now.
She slowly warmed up her first weekend with us but now Lilly is learning to get closer for snuggles and kisses. She particularly likes to kiss Mom’s nose. The other Old Dogs Emma, Willy, and Miko happily snore with her at night.
We are thankful and happy that this great organization provides loving homes and the finest healthcare for senior dogs. Lilly Rose has always been loved but now she lives with a family that can take care of her fully and completely for the rest of her life. We are so glad to be part of her great story!
