Harley
Loves being with his people
9 year old Harley is an active boy who is ready to leave the shelter! Harley is a 71 pound border collie. He is described as a “well-mannered and intelligent dog”.
Harley and a friend had been found “stray” more than once, reclaimed by their owner the first time, but the next time they were not. Kind folks at the shelter tried to adopt them out as a bonded pair but the time and stress of being in the shelter caused the pair to squabble. Shelter staff recognized their best chance of finding adopters was to separate them. Harley’s friend was adopted, and now it is Harley’s turn.
This handsome boy wants to be his new humans’ only pet in the home. Harley loves to be with his people, hang out, go for walks, and go on adventures. He is a strong boy with loads of energy. Harley doesn’t know he’s a senior! One must be sure they can manage his size and strength. We would bet Harley would enjoy someone with an active lifestyle. Harley knows how to “sit” and “shake hands”, no doubt, Harley can learn even more verbal commands. What a fun dog!
Harley is ready for his adopter to come for him today! He is posted for WAIF (Whidbey Animal Improvement Foundation) located in Coupeville, WA.
The shelter is open for adoptions Wed-Sun from 12-4 pm. For more information about adopting Harley, please go to their website here: https://waifanimals.org/ dog/harley/
This is not an Old Dog Haven dog. Old Dog Haven has not assessed this dog for medical issues and will not be responsible for medical care after adoption. We urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
