Louella, also known to her friends as Ellie, came to Old Dog Haven with many untreated medical issues. Senior dogs like Ellie have very little chance of being adopted when they have extensive and very expensive medical needs and Old Dog Haven is often their only option to make it into a loving forever family.
After settling into an experienced final refuge home, Ellie received a thorough exam and treatment plan to restore her back to good health. She had a series of complicated surgeries to remove mammary masses, repair a hernia, and treat severe dental problems. With great love and lots and care, this tiny champion blossomed into a much-loved member of her sizeable foster family.
In typical chihuahua style, she likes to make her presence known by yelping and howling loudly until she gets what she needs. Ellie adores her people, happily gives out kisses, and spends her afternoons lounging in the sun and soaking up all the love and attention she definitely deserves!
