Louis

Darling Louis, a 15-year-old Yorkie-poo, was surrendered to Old Dog Haven after his former family realized he was not getting the attention he needed in their busy home. We found a wonderful and caring permanent foster family for him and he is adjusting perfectly to his new home.

Here’s what one of his forever foster dads told us about Louis:
“So he LOVES a lap. More than any dog I’ve ever met. He’ll try to make you have a lap even if you’re not sitting down. Also, loves sleeping under the blankets at night, or in his little dog igloo. And eating! He settled in very easily. He has a big, happy personality, but we have four other dogs that are bigger than him, and he’s been very smart about giving them their space and finding his own lane in the pack.

He was very thin when he arrived so we’re really trying to fatten him up a bit. He arrived at around 5 pounds and he still needs to gain a pound or two. He got current on all his vaccines at his first vet visit and we just found out today he has a UTI so he’s starting antibiotics tonight. We were told he had incontinence issues but we haven’t experienced that, and we took off his belly band pretty much immediately. Otherwise, he’s pretty healthy for a dog his age. He’s very cute and very charming and everyone loves him.”
