Luna is a 10 year old pitbull who weighs about 60 pounds. Luna is in need of a home by the end of July. She sounds like a great dog who has been pretty well socialized. Luna has been a wonderful family dog with the same family for 3 years. She is now ready to find a home where she will remain for the rest of her days!

We are told Luna good with other dogs. Her only issue is that she needs to be fed separately from other dogs. We think this is a good practice, regardless of a dog’s behavior. Feeding dogs away from each other is smart! Luna does not like cats! She has been wonderful with children and would appreciate a home with kids that are gentle to her. Luna is a cuddly girl who will love family members who want to spend time with her.

Luna has good house manners, she is calm and well behaved. We are told that she will bark when her family leaves the house though. One should not plan on using a kennel with Luna, it is not something she likes. She does just fine without one! Fireworks make her anxious-as they do most dogs. Her people have given her a sedative for the dreaded time of the year when the booms are going off.

Playtime is fun for Luna. She enjoys toys and getting out for daily walks. Luna is said to be good on leash. She knows some basic commands too! Luna can manage stairs at this time.

Luna needs her ear cleaned every week as has a tendency to develop yeast in her right ear. She’s overdue for vaccines so her adopter should be ready to get her in for a check up. Regular veterinary care is so important. We cannot stress that enough. It is especially important for senior dogs.

We think Luna sounds terrific and hope she will find a new family that agrees and loves and keeps her forever!
