Mia is a 10-year-old 15 pound chug (chihuahua/pug mix) with a gentle, well-balanced personality and an irresistibly charming look. She has the cutest ears, a uniquely shaped head, and an almost otter-like appearance that makes her especially endearing. She’s affectionate without being demanding and brings a calm, comforting presence to her home.

After being passed around online for free, Mia found safety with her rescuers and has shown just how special she is. She’s a lovely mix of playful, silly, and cuddly, with plenty of relaxed downtime. Mia enjoys belly rubs, sunbathing, and light play. Mia sometimes expresses herself through adorable soft human-like vocalizations!

Mia does very well with other dogs and has excellent social manners. Her behavior around cats is unknown. She loves kids, but as a senior, she would thrive best in a relatively peaceful home with older or quieter children. Mia is fully house-trained and enjoys walks.

A heart murmur was heard at her vet appointment.  She has had a cardiologist consultation and Mia does have advanced heart disease.  She is on a medication called Vetmedin.  Currently you would not even know Mia has any issues.  She is an energetic, happy girl and we are hoping someone will give her a  loving home where she can enjoy her golden years feeling safe and adored.

Mia is posted for Pacific Pug Rescue located in Portland, OR.  To learn more or apply email adoptions@pacificpugrescue.org
