Mindy Lu and Daisy Mae

Mindy Lu and Daisy Mae are long-time companions hoping to find a forever home together. Mindy Lu is a little girl at not quite 6 pounds, she is 8 years old. 9 year old Daisy Mae is tiny; she’s not even 4 pounds. Daisy Mae was a “comfort dog” to her owner’s late husband. Her history before coming to her current owner was sad in that she was used for breeding-hard to imagine such a tiny one giving birth! She is a very loving girl who just wants a lap to keep warm. Mindy Lu is a little more playful, she like to chase her favorite toy. Mindy Lu came from a puppy mill breeder and arrived with a leg injury. She is slow to trust men. These bonded friends have not been around other dogs or cats. Because of their size, a home with children over 12 years old would be best. Both girls are pee pad trained. They have not spent a lot of time without their owner home but if they have each other, they are OK to stay home and will greet you with great joy upon your return! Daisy Mae reportedly needs dental work and because of that she needs soft food to eat. Mindy Lu is said to not be fond of taking walks but Daisy Mae doesn’t seem to mind; both girls can do stairs.

We consider dogs this age to be “young” seniors. These BFF’s are waiting to find a home together with someone who will appreciate the love and devotion they have to give.
