Mosley
Eager to please...easy to love
Are you ready for the perfect dog? Well, meet Mosley! Mosley is a 10 year old collie mix who weighs about 90 pounds. Mosley is described as “loyal, emotionally intelligent and dedicated”. He is a family dog through and through! His nickname is “Pooh Bear’. He is full of love and has a calm spirit.
Mosley was adopted as a puppy by a couple and he lived with them until one passed away and the other went to memory care. The couple was retired so Mosley lived his life with people home most of the time. Extended family took Mosley in temporarily, and he has adjusted beautifully in a home where people have to go off to work. He can stay alone inside the house, not getting into any trouble. He is ready to greet his people upon their arrival home with a happy wag of his nib of a tail. Ideally Mosley will find a home where people are home more often and not in a busy family where he has to wait for their return. Mosley does not bark unless someone knocks at the door, which we believe it what a dog should do!
Currently Mosley lives with a cat who tells him what’s what! Mosley had lived with a friendly cat who he loved but this one told him to back off so he’s respected that. This polite boy does not even touch the cat kibble! While he’s never lived with another dog, he has met other dogs in the neighborhood and made friends with them. We are told that Mosley LOVES gentle children.
Mosley enjoys his walks and can walk up to 2 miles, though he doesn’t need to go that far every day. He is great on leash and follows verbal commands. At this point in his life he can manage stairs. One does need to remember his size and keep in mind that if stairs become difficult as he ages, one will not easily carry him up and down stairs. Mosley’s adopter should be willing and able to commit to his lifelong veterinary care, good quality dog food and grooming when needed.
Easy to love, eager to please, Mosley is the best of all things dog. Someone will be truly fortunate to welcome him into their home.
