Mrs. Merkle

Meet Mrs. Merkle, a 4 pound chihuahua who is approximately 13 years old. This sweet, loving snuggle bug is looking for a home to retire to.  She has been through quite a lot in her life and knows what she wants from her forever family. Mrs. Merkle is great with dogs of all sizes, LOVES people and gets along with cats. She is 100% potty trained to a wee pad or she is happy to go outside to do her business when asked. You would think not having any teeth would prevent her from enjoying snacks but it doesn’t!  Her recent veterinary exam showed her to be in good health. She does need an inexpensive pill daily for low thyroid (very common in aging dogs). She is a quiet dog but will certainly bark for another cookie..or five!

She’s a big fan of: making new friends. This lady is the life of the party and happy to meet anyone. She loves her blankies – she’s an expert at getting under the covers. Mrs. Merkle walks well on leash and enjoys outings, including car rides – she’s a very good traveler. This girl deserves a home where she’ll be treated like a queen!
