ODH Home Needed for Bella JRT – Jack Russell Terrier Girl
Loves walks and hikes and lots of medical issues
PERMANENT ODH FOSTER HOME NEEDED: Jack Russell terrier, spayed female, 14#, 13 years old. This dear girl’s longtime person went into a care facility, leaving her in a temporary foster home where we’ve tried to figure out her medical issues. After a lot of testing, she has been diagnosed with Cushings disease and we hope that (recently started) treatment will help slow down her need to drink and look for food continually. She also has quite high blood pressure; starting treatment has already seemed to help with the urinary problems and we
are very hopeful that the two medications will make a big difference in her life. (They will both take a good deal of monitoring with the vet
for a while.) She does fine with the other dog in her foster home, not snuggle buddies but no problem and no resource-guarding. She loves to go out walking, is good on hiking trails, and of course enjoys sniffing around. She likes to be near her person but doesn’t have to
be on the lap. She’s been fighting her medical issues for a long time, we hope that the medications will make her life a LOT easier and she can relax and enjoy being cared about. If you love the little terriers or would like a nice hiking buddy and friend, please ask us about her. She needs you.
