ODH Home Needed for Midge – Shih Tzu Girl

PERMANENT ODH FOSTER HOME NEEDED: Shih tzu, not-yet-spayed female, about 8# and still very thin. This little dog was found in horrible shape (couldn’t see her face!) but has gained weight and become much stronger with a month of care. She is in a shelter foster home where she’s doing extremely well! Loves absolutely everyone – dogs, cats, all humans, is housebroken, enjoys basking in the sun. She is not spayed so there may well be mammary tumors lurking though not seen yet; it will be really important to get the spay done as soon as she’s strong enough. She was emaciated and dehydrated so recovery has taken a while and definitely isn’t complete. Her fosters think she is deaf and there was some question about vestibular issues if she shakes her head, her anemia is improving but still there, she has luxating patellas and the common misshaped front legs that this wonderful breed is prone to. She has a road ahead to be healthy and strong, but we’d really love to have her in an ODH home quickly so she can get started.
