ODH Home Needed for Chubbs – Longhaired Doxie Girl
Happy girl needs out of shelter
ODH PERMANENT FOSTER/HOSPICE HOME NEEDED: Longhaired dachshund, not spayed, 20# but should be 14-15#, 16 years old. This girl found herself in the shelter when her person died and really shouldn’t stay there long. She was never spayed, so has 2+ mammary masses though chest xrays do not show any cancer metastasis in her lungs. Her heart is enlarged (but they aren’t hearing a murmur so ?). Her vision is limited (incomplete cataracts) which is affecting near vision, but she gets around well on leash and enjoys walks and socializing. A happy, very chill girl who did fine meeting other dogs and has some big fans among volunteers already. We are awaiting bloodwork results so don’t know how her other organs are doing, but just given the mammary masses and her age – she’s not likely to be a longtimer. She should have a safe loving home for what time she has left, however – let us hear from you if you think she’d be a good match and will be available in the next week or so.
