Urgent Need – ODH Home for Annie – American Bulldog/Pit Mix Girl
Really nice, chill girl
ODH PERMANENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED URGENTLY: American bulldog/pit mix, spayed female, 54# though has been heavier. Another really nice dog whose people cannot afford the care she needs, so for some time now she has spent the night in the garage and the day alone outside without much shelter. She needs potty breaks frequently during the day (though sleeps through the night fine) so can’t stay inside while people are at work. Medication helped in the past but is too expensive for them. She has bowed legs with likely cruciate ligament ruptures YEARS ago; her elbows have also been stiff for a long time. Medication helps but we could do more. She still likes to go on walks and can sometimes go as far as 2 miles! She’ll pull a bit at first and then do well. She’s also had chronic allergies; we would want to treat those as well as her “dry eye”. In other words, lots of medical issues but all things we can handle at this point! She has lived with other dogs and enjoys meeting new ones, has been fine with a cat who will stand up to her, and is very good with kids. Good
in public, “very chill” and “emotionally intelligent” per her person. It is such a shame to be leaving a nice and well socialized dog alone
– and especially out in the yard all day! If you have room and time for her, we’d like to hear from you ASAP.
