Penny is an adorable chihuahua who weighs 13 pounds. She is estimated to be about 9 years old. This delightful girl is a wonderful companion. Her past is sad, as she was found in a dumpster with her 2 puppies. The belief is that she was a puppy mill dog. But none of this seems to have dampened her spirit! Penny is loving and sweet. She’s ready to settle into her adoptive home and stay forever!

At this time Penny lives with 2 other senior dogs. It’d be nice for Penny to find a home where she has friendly, mature canine buddies to hang out with. Penny does not want to live with cats though! We are told that Penny does well with respectful children that treat her with kindness.

Penny is accustomed to living in a home where her person is around most of the day. While she can stay alone with her canine friends for some time when her person has to leave the house, it’s not her favorite time! She can manage a break for a few hours at a time. She is well housetrained, going to the door to let you know she needs to get out to do her business.

This fun little girl enjoys her walks. Penny does well on leash. She enjoys play time and getting to roll around and run. We’d bet she’d love a home with a fenced yard to explore in. Penny is a smart dog who catches on quickly. She isn’t a beggar but will stare and you and tap her front paws when she’s hungry-CUTE! She will bark when she’s excited about someone she likes coming to her home but Penny will stop barking when she is told to.

Penny hopes to find a home with someone who will continue to allow her to sleep on their bed in her bed. Everyone who meets Penny, loves Penny and she loves them to! Are you ready for your lucky Penny?
