9 years old Pepper came to rescue when her owner passed away. At her age, she’s a young senior with the energy level and playfulness of a dog half her age!

Pepper is a poodle mix, pure white, who had to be shaved due to mats and cheat in the feet. Weighing 23 pounds, she could use some help to lose a little weight. Her foster is working on that through gentle diet and exercise. Her rescues have had her thoroughly vetted and plan on having a dental done for her before she is adopted out.

She loves, loves morning walks and walks out very well. This is something Pepper’s adopter should plan on continuing. Pepper also loves to play tug with stuffed animals and will fetch with you. What a fun girl!

Pepper currently lives with 2 other dogs in her foster home and she does well with them. There are feral cats around and her foster says Pepper does not show any aggression towards them, just just barks at them. This adorable girl has also been good with kids. Doesn’t she sound terrific?

Pepper loves sleeping in the bed with her foster and her 2 dogs. No doubt she’d love to continue to do this in her adoptive home. She is a loving girl who appreciates attention from her people. Pepper is good in the house and can manage stairs just fine. Before coming to rescue she had an elderly owner so one would assume she is used to regular company. While no one is home 24/7, perhaps her adopter will work from home or they will have a friendly dog or 2 that Pepper can spend time with when the humans have to leave the house?

It’d be wonderful to find Pepper a home she will never lose. A lifetime commitment with an adopter who can afford her vetting, grooming and good quality dog food is what Pepper is hoping for. This girl sounds like a dog who is going to make a great new addition to a home with a single person or couple, or perhaps even a family with kind children?

Pepper is posted for A Paw Up Rescue in Prosser, WA. She is located in one of their private foster homes. For more information about Pepper and adopting her, please email: Alphamom33@aol.com
