Described as “well-mannered and quiet”, Puget is looking for a new family to love. He is said to be a 30 pound corgi-mix who is about 12 years old. Puget has lived with other dogs and is social with new dogs he meets. He has lived with cats and has been good with children who are gentle and respectful of dogs.

Puget enjoys daily walks. He will pull some in his excitement to get out, which most dogs will do! Because he is such a good boy, we’d bet he would enjoy time and attention with his new person to work on some leash manners. We are told he doesn’t ask for much in exchange for his loyalty and affection.

As often happens with senior dogs (and senior people too!), Puget’s hearing and vision aren’t as sharp as they once were. He can still manage stairs in spite of having some minor arthritis. While he is up to date on vaccines, it has been 2 years since he last saw a vet. This means, his adopter should be willing and able to get him into their vet upon his adoption for a full senior check up. Currently he takes nothing for his arthritis but there are supplements he would benefit from. Providing Puget with regular veterinary care could help him maintain his health and we always hope that means a dog can be around for a while!

At this time Puget can manage quite a while before he requires a potty break. He stays inside his home when his family leaves the house without any issue. Puget will bark in his excitement but aside from then, he is said to not be much of a barker. Puget sounds like a very nice boy who will make a wonderful addition to a home.

Puget is located in Issaquah, WA. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org
