Quincy
Loves just being a dog
Please note: The dogs in ODH's Final Refuge care are not adoptable due to medical reasons and all are in permanent homes. Your sponsorship supports the veterinary expenses for these dogs - and we thank you!
Quincy is a Maltese mix thought to be around 13 years old. He has mild heart disease and very bad teeth. Two months after coming to his Final Refuge home, he was diagnosed with perineal herniation of his bladder and prostate, a consequence of not being neutered early in life and requiring major surgery. He first had an ultrasound and echocardiogram to make sure he could safely undergo surgery, and the operation was a success.
Quincy came to his new home with separation anxiety and a wariness toward strangers, but once he gets acquainted, he settles right down into an affectionate, sweet lap dog. He loves to snuggle, go on long walks, play with his plushies, and sit by the window to bark at the world outside.
I’m beyond grateful that Quincy landed with Old Dog Haven where he could get the vital care he needed and a forever home where he can just be himself and is very much loved.
