Darling Theo found himself at a shelter after his owner passed away and after a short stay with a wonderful shelter foster family, Old Dog Haven found him a permanent home he could call his own.
Theo is around 13 years old and weighs 8 pounds. He is half Poodle, a quarter Yorkie and the rest Dachshund, Maltese and Shih Tzu. His new foster mom reports this adorable little guy might be a senior but is still spunky and quite vocal, too.
She told us, “He thinks he’s a German Shepherd defending the house from all dangers, especially house cleaners and vacuums. When he’s not on guard, he’s a snuggly lap-sitter and peacefully coexists with the three other Old Dog Haven foster dogs in the home. Theo easily settled into his new life and brings me joy every day. Just to look at him, with his oversized ears, often one up and one down, and his tongue hanging out. He always makes me smile! Theo has moderate heart disease issues with his spine but that doesn’t slow him down much. We are so grateful that Dog Haven will provide excellent veterinary care for the rest of his life.”
Thanks to Old Dog Haven and their supporters, Theo will spend the rest of his days healthy, happy, and bringing endless entertainment to his forever home.
