An Old Dog Haven Transport volunteer (Jaime) brought sweet Raina to her permanent foster home on Christmas eve day, and here’s what her new Mom has to say about this very special girl:

Santa Clause Jaime arrived with Raina on Christmas Eve day! What a curious girl, explored the whole house, and found the bed by the fireplace for a nap.

Raina is a good eater, pooper and pee-er, all the things a dog-ma appreciates. She even tells me when she needs to go to the potty!

Her Intake/Labs/X-rays showed some kidney issues, bilateral cataracts, and is hard of hearing but not completely deaf.  She has a mild-moderate heart murmur, old dog lungs, and as usual, terrible teeth (nothing new to us).

Raina gets along with the other pups and the cat.  She likes to sleep under the covers next to me.  She did find her face covered by another Bootie’s tail one night, but that didn’t seem to disturb her sleep.  Bootie’s domain is the pillows.

She barks when I first leave the house, and then settles down. She is good in the car, so travels with me.

Little Raina is the best Christmas present!

You can’t have too many blankets! Raina in the fireplace bed – so warm!
