Rango
Enjoying his new home!
Rango!
Rango is a senior Rottweiler mix who had to find a new home due to his owner’s illness. He was placed in a temporary ODH Foster home while we looked (and looked) for a permanent Final Refuge home for this dear boy. Rango had to have a very special home that understands his breed and where he can be the only animal. After getting to know this boy, his temporary foster home decided they had to be his forever home, so now Rango never needs to worry about moving again!
Rango loves food so much it can be difficult for him to be patient but he is learning. He is a very smart boy and knows to sit before receiving treats, and also responds to “wait”, “shake”, and is working on “lie down”. He is house trained and loves car rides. Rango has been to the vet and we are treating him for stiffness and making sure all his medical needs are addressed.
Even though he prefers hanging out with his family people, Rango is quiet when left alone and patiently waits for their return. He is one lucky boy to have his forever family and his new family feels very lucky to have him share their lives.
Update: After three wonderful years with his Final Refuge family, Rango’s health failed him. He was such a character and really soaked up all the love and attention. This boy will be greatly missed!
