Ruby

14 year old Ruby is a 33 pound beagle described as “a gentle soul”. She gets along with other nice dogs, cats and children who are gentle to her. Ruby has been known to get along with rabbits and oddly (for her breed), doesn’t bark! One strong beagle trait is her nose that leads to her “scavenger” tendency. Ruby needs a home with someone who will keep trouble out of her reach.

This lovely girl does have some hearing loss, which is to be expected at her age. She loves to go for walks and can still manage stairs at this time. Ruby does have some arthritis, her new people should be willing and able to help her with that and her lifelong veterinary care.

Ruby does well staying alone as needed, managing to “hold it” for a few hours. As time goes on, however, Ruby shouldn’t have to go too long without a potty break. Ruby loves car rides and is always up for just about anything. She is a happy girl who loves her people and enjoys being with them.
