Sasha is a beauty!  At 90 pounds, she is a big German Shepherd dog who is estimated to be about 8 years old. Sasha was adopted from rescue just 3 months ago but unfortunately the adoption was not a successful one due to the fact that she does  NOT like her adopter’s male dog.  We are told while in rescue she lived in a home with 6 other dogs so it is not known why does not like him.  He is a neutered male German Shepherd.  Her adopters have tried to work with her on this behavior but now the dogs are being kept apart.

Sasha is really terrific with the child in her adoptive home. While we are told Sasha is incredibly tolerant, we suggest a home with older kids who will not “hug” or pull upon Sasha as that can lead to trouble. Our strong belief is, even if a dog takes all of this, it doesn’t mean that they should have to. All dogs should be treated with respect and gentleness. Sasha will chase cats, so a home without cats is best.

At this time Sasha is spending her days outside in a fenced yard. At night she sleeps on her dog bed or in her crate with the door open.  Sasha has not been left alone inside her home without being crated. We are told she can manage quite a while before she requires a potty break.

Sasha enjoys her walks and is said to be responsive to her leash training. This girl sounds like a very nice dog, she just needs the “right” home! She is calm and docile until she sees the male dog. Her people are truly sad to have to rehome her but this is the only fair option to all involved. Sasha is ready to join her forever family and show them how truly special she is!

Sasha is located in Monroe, WA. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org
