What a cutie Sasha is. She’s an 11 year old dachshund/pekingnese mix; how interesting! Sasha weighs 10 pounds. We are told she has a delightful trot; if you know dachshunds and you know pekes, you can imagine what that must look like!

Sasha is looking for a home without young kids; they make her nervous can cause her to become “snappy”. Sasha currently lives with another dog but it’s believed she would prefer to be someone’s “main focus”. When she meets new dogs she will bark at them but she’s never been aggressive toward another dog. She did have a feline friend once that she loved and cuddled with. Perhaps she’d be happy in a home with a dog-friendly kitty?

At this time Sasha can manage quite a while without needing a potty break. She can stay alone at home without any issue. Because she’s part dachshund, she doesn’t do stairs well. Her back is fragile so a home without stairs or finding a home with someone who will always carry her up and down stairs would be in her best interest.

Walks are not something Sasha seems to enjoy. She does like playing tug of war with her person though. Sasha especially likes cuddling up with her person. She’s described as “an amazing companion” who gives the best “Welcome Home”.

Sasha is ready to find a home with someone who will love and appreciate her for the rest of her days. She is located in Tacoma, WA.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
