Scotty was living in a home with 4 other dogs when the owner died and Scotty had no place to go. So, he, along with the other 4 dogs, ended up in a shelter. Scotty is shy and in his previous life he wasn’t socialized.   He is initially afraid of new people, which made his life in the shelter even scarier.  Scotty is afraid of loud noises and he will even leave the room if someone coughs.

Scotty has beautiful curly white hair.  However, as you can see from his shelter photo, the hair was so long that you could hardly find his face.  He arrived at the shelter over weight at 17 lbs.  He had inflammatory ear polyps, fleas, tapeworms, and very itchy skin.  His eyesight is compromised and he has very limited vision in his left eye due to a cataract.

With the wonderful veterinary care provided by Old Dog Haven, Scotty is a changed boy.  With flea treatment, worming, and monthly injections to control his itchy skin, Scotty’s hair is growing back in and he looks gorgeous.  He also receives 3 medications twice a day in both eyes and he is now at a healthy weight of 15 lbs.

Scotty has blossomed into a happy, healthy boy.  He arrived at his foster home at a time when his foster sister, Bella Bean, was scheduled for a couple Meet and Greet events.  Knowing that Scotty would not understand staying home alone, it was decided that he should join in the fun.  Only a couple weeks in a new home, and Scotty was out doing what he could to promote Old Dog Haven.  And, he has decided that not only does he enjoy the Meet and Greets, but that Bella Bean is his best friend.
