Silks and Charlie are a bonded pair of 8-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund siblings that spent most of their life outside without getting very much care and attention. Silks weighs 8 pounds and her big brother weighs 10. They are sweet dogs, very friendly, and are enjoying the TLC they’ve been receiving as they socialize with caretakers. Charlie is missing an eye and both have some fur loss. Silks is the brave one, she’s always leading the way for Charlie to follow, but both will come up, seek affection, and jump into laps once they feel safe enough. Both are learning the leash and will come when their name is called, but neither are interested in toys nor are they yet housetrained. They enjoy being brushed and love getting petted and loved on! Silks and Charlie have been around kids and are friendly and gentle with them. They are hoping to find a forever home with extra compassion, and if they sound like a match for you do go meet these sweet dogs today!

Silks and Charlie are posted for the Humane Society of Southwest Washington in Vancouver, WA., 360-693-4746.

THESE ARE NOT  ODH DOGS; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
