12 year old Sumi is a 15 pound “Schnoodle”-a poodle/schnauzer mix. She is a cutie, isn’t she? Sumi lost her lifetime home  last October when elderly person passed away. Since then, a kind friend at the retirement center has been caring for Sumi. Unfortunately this is only a temporary solution. Sumi is in need of a home with someone who will give her a home for the rest of her days.

Because she’s not lived with other dogs, Sumi is unsure around dogs she meets. We are told she’s not aggressive towards dogs, just nervous. Perhaps it’s possible she could share a home with a mellow, submissive dog? It is unknown how she’d do with a cat but she has been said to do OK with gentle children age 6 and over.

Sumi has not spent a lot of time in a home where she’s left alone often. Ideally she’ll  find a home with someone who works from home, is retired or maybe with someone who can take her to work? She has not had a lot of regular vetting so her adopter needs to be someone who can afford to get her checked out and afford regular vet care.

We are told that Sumi does fine on leash and appreciates her walks. She can handle stairs. Sumi is a smart dog who will undoubtedly make a loyal friend. She currently lives in Mt. Vernon, WA.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
