What a gorgeous girl! Taziri is a 10 year old Australian Shepherd who weighs 50 pounds.Once she gets to know you, Taziri is very loving and cuddly. While she prefers the attention of her humans, we are told Taziri does fine with other dogs. She has been boarded, visited dog parks and lived with other dogs.

Taziri does well around gentle children who are kind to her. She has lived with cats. It can take longer for Taziri to warm up to men. Time to settle in and learn a routine will help Taziri greatly. We are told she has taken trazadone twice a day for about a year. This is to help ease Taziri’s anxiety. She will pant and whine when she is anxious. But we are told with the trazadone, daily exercise and time with her humans, she does much better. Calm, mature dogs have helped Taziri’s anxiety. So if you already have a nice, old dog who can help Taziri settle in, that would be great!

If you’re looking for a walking pal, Taziri is your friend! She does well on leash and has a good amount of energy. She loves to play fetch too! Taziri can manage stairs at this time. She manages a few hours between potty breaks and has been able to stay home with another friendly dog for company when the humans have to leave the home. Of course, one should not expect this from her right away; as we say with every adoption, please allow a dog time to adapt and learn they are “home” now and you are always going to come back. Understanding and compassion can be rewarded in the love and loyalty of a dog.

Taziri needs an adoptive home very soon. She is located in Kingston, WA. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org

This is a courtesy post. Taziri is not an Old Dog Haven dog. We urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
