Please note: The dogs in ODH's Final Refuge care are not adoptable due to medical reasons and all are in permanent homes. Your sponsorship supports the veterinary expenses for these dogs - and we thank you!

Tigger came to ODH with 3 other dogs with a murky history dumped at a shelter. His skin is terrible, he will need an eye specialist, and his emotional health is significantly impaired. It is going to take time and good vet care to get through this, but his new foster mom is madly in love, and determined to make his life happy, comfortable, safe and filled with love and cuddles. His 2 new doggie sisters keep him calm and are rarely far away from him. They adore each other.

Tigger is a roughly 10 years old “purebred” Mi-Ki (a fairly new designer breed, combining 5  small breeds – which is beginning to be recognized by many kennel clubs as an independent breed). He is a happy, prancing, cuddly boy, bonding quickly with his new foster mom, and the new doggie foster siblings. Truly, devotedly bonded. He is submissive and shy with strangers, with an inordinate fear of being abandoned once again. Even so, he is slowly accepting that he is home. Forever home. Tigger runs, jumps, prances (thus the name!) and struts, does not have accidents, never barks or whines, draws attention wherever he goes – did we mention he is really cute? – loves car rides and is slowly becoming the perfect little guy he was always meant to be. Thanks to all the ODH supporters for making this happy ending possible for these wonderful dogs.
