Tuxedo (Tux)
Loving and cuddly
Are you in search of tall, dark and handsome! Tuxedo is your boy! Called “Tux” for short, this big fella weighs 100 pounds and he is almost 11 years old. If you’ve ever experienced the joy and fun a black lab can bring to your life, you will appreciate Tux!
While Tux has never lived with other dogs he has been around plenty of them. Tux often attends doggy daycare and his family has dogsat dogs in their home. He is a social fellow who would more than likely appreciate a friendly canine buddy in his new home. Tux has not been observed around cats. He is great with kids and enjoys those who are gentle with him.
Given his size, Tux needs someone who can manage his strength while out on walks. We are told he can get a little unruly on his walks if he sees another dog. This could be something his adopter could work with Tux on to make walks even more fun. Tux loves getting out for walks! He needs daily exercise; playtime and walks are really important for Tux. At this time Tux can still manage stairs but as he ages, this could become difficult as it can for senior dogs.
Tux can manage quite a few hours between potty breaks but it’s not something he’s accustomed to doing on a regular basis because he is either at doggy daycare or home with his people. He is not fond of staying home alone though he will if he must, just be sure he’s had plenty of exercise to tire him out before you leave. Tux will bark to let you know he sees someone outside or to announce someone’s arrival.
This big, loving, cuddly boy will give you lots of kisses and no doubt, lots of tail wags! We think Tux sounds like a fun dog who will make a happy addition to a home.
