Urgent – ODH Home Needed for Hermi – Long Haired Chihuahua Boy
Little fellow needs out of shelter
URGENT NEED: ODH FOSTER HOME, LIKELY HOSPICE, NEEDED RIGHT AWAY. Longhaired chihuahua, intact male, under 4# after some weight gain. This little guy has been on hold in the shelter for 3 weeks. With much care and feeding he has gained some weight and is now active and eating, animated and loving with humans. He has a heart murmur, possible kidney disease, luxating patellas of course, and isn’t neutered. The big problem is that he’s missing most teeth BUT the lower jaw bone is not intact and the remaining teeth are very diseased which makes eating difficult. Even if his heart and kidneys are considered safe for anesthesia, working on this mouth in such a tiny dog will require a very skilled dentist – most general vets wouldn’t touch it. That means within reasonable distance of Vancouver, Burien, perhaps Edmonds (the specialist in Renton is booking many months out which would not be fair). If you are in those areas and would be willing to add a tiny little guy (remember he’s intact!) to your home, please let us know RIGHT AWAY.
