Chico

Chico is about 12 years old and an absolute sweetheart. He is cheerful and easygoing and adores being a part of his tiny pack. Whenever he sees a lap, Chico immediately settles in it and gently demands to be petted.

At particularly exciting times, such as any mealtime or when his ODH mom comes home from work, Chico literally vibrates with joy and tap dances in place. His favorite things include attention, cheese, and his heated bed.

Thanks to Old Dog Haven, Chico had a full dental, was diagnosed with a mild heart problem (which is being monitored) and is receiving treatment for his arthritis.

Chico is adored by his Final Refuge family and is very grateful to ODH for giving him a chance to live out his life in comfort and with proper health care!

Update:  Now about 15 years old, Chico still loves attention and being included in activities that the pack does, no matter what they are!  He is easy going, cheerful and he is ALWAYS in a good mood. This dear boy has taught us how to look on the bright side of life and go along for the ride.

Final Update:  After four years, little Chico’s health failed him fairly suddenly and he was sent on with much love.  This dear boy had been cherished in his Final Refuge home and will be greatly missed.
