“Hi there! I’m Charlie! I am currently residing at the Blue Mountain Humane Society.

“I’m a perfect choice for people who are looking for a calm, gentle, and loving dog. I am 12 years old, but I seem like a much younger dog.  I came to the shelter on August 30, 2024, and have been in a foster home for a long time but this is not a forever home.  I am very sad to have lost my home, and I deserve a forever home because I am such a sweet boy.

“I’m 60 pounds but not very tall – I am pretty solid! I am very affectionate: I loved my family, and I love meeting new people. I enjoy being petted, especially head pats, but prefer not to be hugged. I am a good car rider. I know different tricks like “sit” and “shake”, and I walk well on a leash.

“Everything known about me suggests that I would be good with other dogs, but I prefer not to be around children. I would be a great companion for you as you go on adventures or when you hang out and watch movies (a favorite activity for me). If you have other dogs at home, set a time with the staff for them to meet me here. I can’t wait to meet you!”
