Chester
A real sweetheart
Not much at all of this dear boy’s history is known. Chester is an old guy who may have been out on his own for a while; his age is unknown. He was found “stray” and taken to the Ocean Shores impound center. He has been given the name Chester by his new friends. A kind-hearted volunteer saw that Chester was not doing so well at the impound center so she brought him home to foster him until a forever home can be found. Thankfully he has been seen by a vet and with care and good nutrition, he is doing much better than he was when he arrived at the center.
Chester appears to be a shepherd mix and he weighs 53 pounds. He has some arthritis, hearing loss, cataracts and appears to be blind in one eye. If Chester turns too fast on his blind side, he will sometimes fall over. It’d be best for him to find a home without stairs. Chester can go between 4-5 hours without needing a potty break. He has been good with the other dogs and cats in his foster home. He’s not been observed completely alone since he has canine and feline companions in his foster home. Chester has not been seen around children but it’d probably be best if he went to a home without young children that he could trip over or onto. He enjoys getting out for leashed walks and since he doesn’t see or hear too well, he uses his nose for exploring.
Chester loves people and he likes to stand or walk very close to the humans in his home. This has been a bit of a problem for the senior human in his home, a fall is a concern so Chester really needs a new home. Chester is a sweetheart who deserves a happily ever after.
He is in Ocean Shores, WA.
