Coco is a 75 pound lab mix who is 11 years old. He has lived with other dogs in the past and is said to be great when meeting new dogs. Coco is also great with kind kids of all ages. He has never lived with cats but has always barked at them when he’s come across them so the thought is, he’s not “cat friendly”. This good ol’ boy is all things we love about lab mixes: he’s a happy, loving, playful dog who is attentive to his person. Coco does well on leash and appreciates a walk a day. Reportedly Coco has some arthritis in his hind legs; he can still do stairs but as time goes on a home with many stairs may be hard on him. It is said Coco can go between 4-6 hours without needing a potty break. At this time he spends about 4 hours a day alone and does fine.

Coco’s life has recently changed. He used to live in a home with a backyard where he could run, chase squirrels and watch birds. His person had to move into an apartment and since the move, he barks at the unfamiliar sounds which is getting them both into “trouble”. Coco sounds like a fun dog who needs a home with a yard and neighbors who won’t be bothered by his barking if he chooses to do so. He is in need of an adopter very soon.

Coco is currently in Federal Way, WA.

ODH has not met this dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
