Coco
SPECIAL ADOPTER NEEDED
This sweet old lady is Coco! Coco is a senior chihuahua only 9 pounds, looking for her forever home. Coco and her siblings came to us from an over-crowded home situation and have not been around people much. She is very nervous with handling and is fearful of new people and situations, so she will need a quiet, patient home without kids so that she can slowly come out of her shell. Coco lived in an indoor outdoor heated dog run, so she is not potty trained. This is something her new forever home will have to help her learn. She also has never been on a leash before, and walking outside is very scary for her. So Coco needs a home with a securely fenced yard and supervised outside time only. So far, we have seen that Coco is very calm and will allow you to pet her, but is nervous when you reach for her. She also is nervous about being picked up, but will tolerate being carried. However, she does slowly warm up and try to approach people. It will take time for Coco to feel comfortable in a home but with patience and a little TLC, she will learn to trust people again and come out of her shell.
If you are looking to give a deserving dog a second chance at a happy life, please consider adopting Coco! Coco is posted for Kitsap Humane Society in Silverdale, WA.
THIS IS NOT AN ODH DOG; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
